ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Shirley Tefft Heuser, 80, of 1350 Pinecrest Drive, passed away July 4, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Born January 2, 1928, to the late Elmer and Jean Kilpatrick Tefft in Syracuse, N.Y., Mrs. Heuser was a school teacher, physical therapist, rocket scientist, ABEX, with a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Cornell University and a graduate of Ithica College. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Robert Heuser.

She is survived by a son, Frederick Heuser of Rock Hill; daughter, Catherine J. Hinchman of Vernon, N.J.; and one grandchild.
